Primary 4 are delighted that we have been able to participate in Shared Education through the ASPIRE Peace Plus program with our partner schools Macosquin and St Eoghans Primary Schools. Shared Education has given us the chance to meet with pupils of different backgrounds to build friendships and foster mutual respect ensuring each child feels valued and included.
Primary 4 have thoroughly enjoyed building new friendships with pupils from our partner schools. Through working and learning together, the children have developed a greater sense of inclusivity, respect and understanding for others, embracing the important themes of peace and reconciliation.
As part of their shared experiences, the children visited a variety of churches, where they explored and discussed both the similarities and differences between them. This provided valuable opportunities to appreciate different traditions and perspectives in a positive and supportive environment.
The programme concluded with an exciting final trip to Score in Coleraine, where the children enthusiastically took part in football, dodgeball and a range of team-building activities. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the friendships they have formed and the shared experiences they will carry forward.
